NCAA Basketball Look Ahead; Wednesday, Dec. 29th

Most college basketball teams have wrapped up their portion of the non-conference schedule, and we now find ourselves jumping into the conference slates.

Most teams have played one or two games so far in the conference, but now we turn to almost exclusively conference bouts. There are a ton of deep conferences this year, and that will only lead to an exciting next few months.

Below, we will look at LSU Tigers vs Auburn Tigers December 29th matchup and who has the edge coming into the game. 

Undefeated LSU Tigers are Traveling to Auburn to Face the Tigers

The LSU Tigers will travel to take on the Auburn Tigers in a highly regarded SEC matchup. LSU comes into the game 12-0 and are ranked #17 in the country.

Auburn is 11-1 and ranked #12 in the country. This has the makings to be one of the best games of the week with a battle of ranked SEC teams. Neither of these teams have had much resistance over the past few weeks as they are coming into the game very fresh.

Auburn averages 81.1 points a game, while LSU averages 79.6 points a game. This year, LSU has played great defense as they have only allowed 54.1 points a game while Auburn has allowed 64.9 points a game.

LSU averages over 12 steals per game, while Auburn averages just under ten a game. I look for Auburn to have a slight advantage in this game.
