NCAA Basketball Action247 Insider: Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2021
This week we have some big rivalry games on tap as we near the holiday. Conference play is going to be starting up in full swing soon, and teams are looking to get their last bit of non-conference resume-boosting in.
This should be a really good week of basketball as quite a few games have the potential to be very exciting. Look for some upsets to happen as teams start to look forward on their schedule.
Below, we will take a look at Virginia Tech Hokies vs Duke Blue Devils this upcoming week and break down the matchup and who has the edge coming into the game.
The 7-4 Virginia Tech Hokies Traveling to #2 Duke Blue Devils
The Virginia Tech Hokies travel to Duke to take on the Blue Devils on Wednesday. The Hokies are 7-4 on the year, while the Blue Devils are 9-1 and ranked #2 in the country. The Hokies are 0-1 so far in conference play, while this will be Duke’s first conference game of the year.
This year, Duke has played some really good basketball as they have only a loss to Ohio State on their record. Virginia Tech has struggled a bit, but this is a great game to bounce in the right direction.
Keve Aluma leads the Hokies in scoring at 14.4 points per game. Wendell Moore Jr. leads Duke in scoring with 17.4 points a game. Look for this game to be Duke’s to lose.
