NCAA Basketball Look Ahead; Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2022

We are now nearing the end of the college basketball season as conference tournaments will start to get underway in just over a month.

There is a ton of very good conference matchups this upcoming week, and this is the point where games are going to start deciding whether or not a team can win a conference title.

Losses from here on out are going to be very tough for some programs to overcome if they wish to win a conference title. Below we take a look at five games that will be of impact this week.

Wisconsin Badgers Travels to Michigan to Face Michigan State Spartans

The Wisconsin Badgers travel to take on the Michigan State Spartans in what is going to potentially be the best Big Ten game of the year. The Badgers are 17-4 this season and are 8-3 in conference play. The Spartans are an identical 17-4 this year but are 8-2 in conference play.

Both of these teams are fighting for a conference title, and a loss here could put them behind the eight ball.

The Badgers are ranked #11 in the country, while the Spartans are ranked #13 in the country. Johnny Davis leads Wisconsin in scoring at 21.4 points per game. Gabe Brown leads Michigan State in scoring at 12.8 points per game.

I give the edge in this one to Michigan State at home.
