NFL Regular Season Week 16 Betting Outlook

We are seeing many teams getting ready for the playoffs as we head into the final weeks of the NFL regular season. Some teams are starting to take the lead, while others fall into the background. 

This next week, there are many games that are up in the air. You never know what will happen heading into each game. Many times, the underdogs can surprise you and come out ahead.

It is Week 16, with just three more weeks of regular season football on the schedule. The games mean more, the wins and losses are now deciding playoff spots, and the intensity of the betting is at a season-high. Here are the NFL matchups for Christmas weekend.

Los Angeles Chargers at Indianapolis Colts – Saturday, December 24th, 2022 8:15 pm CST 

Monday night in Indianapolis, the Colts, fresh off being on the losing end of the biggest comeback in NFL history, take on a likely Wild Card team in the Los Angeles Chargers. 

The Chargers are now estimated to have an 88% chance of making the postseason, in large part because of their closing schedule. They are road favorites (-3.5) in this one, and they still play the Rams and Broncos. For the Colts, surprisingly, they too can still make the playoffs. 

They would have to beat L.A. (the moneyline pays +140), beat the Giants and Texans, and then have almost everyone above them go into the tank.
