NFL Week 16: Seahawks vs Chiefs & Falcons vs Ravens

NFL Regular Season Week 16 Betting Outlook

We are seeing many teams getting ready for the playoffs as we head into the final weeks of the NFL regular season. Some teams are starting to take the lead, while others fall into the background.

This next week, there are many games that are up in the air. You never know what will happen heading into each game. Many times, the underdogs can surprise you and come out ahead.

It is Week 16, with just three more weeks of regular season football on the schedule. The games mean more, the wins and losses are now deciding playoff spots, and the intensity of the betting is at a season-high. Here are the NFL matchups for Christmas weekend.

Seattle Seahawks at Kansas City Chiefs – Saturday, December 24th, 2022 1:00 pm CST

Last week the Seahawks lost the NFC West and lost for the fourth time in five games. Kansas City just won its seventh consecutive AFC West title, and they’ve won seven of their last eight games.

Not surprisingly, in the tough environment of Arrowhead Stadium, Kansas City is a double-digit favorite (-10). Although it is worth knowing that the Chiefs haven’t covered a point spread in more than a month, and each of the last three times they were double-digit favorites, they failed to cover.

Atlanta Falcons at Baltimore Ravens – Saturday, December 24th, 2022 1:00 pm CST

What we have learned from watching the Ravens without Lamar Jackson is that they really need Lamar Jackson. They managed just three points on Saturday against the Browns, and things were so bad that even Justin Tucker missed two field goals.

Baltimore is optimistic that Jackson will return this week, which makes them a touchdown favorite. They are also heavy favorites to get the win, paying just -345 on the moneyline. Atlanta got a good performance on the ground last week from Tyler Allgeier, but rookie QB Desmond Ridder was less good, and Atlanta’s playoff hopes are slipping away.
