NFL Regular Season Week 17 Betting Outlook

You never know what will happen heading into each NFL game, since they are often a toss-up.  Many times, the underdogs can surprise you and come out ahead.

Only two weeks remain in the NFL season, and we are down to just a handful of playoff spots remaining. However, there are still four division titles to hand out, top seeds to secure, and 24 teams still in the running for a postseason berth.

The intensity is high, and the betting is the best of the season.

San Francisco 49ers at Las Vegas Raiders – Sunday, January 1st, 2023 3:05 pm CST 

Even down to their third quarterback the 49ers are playing as well as anyone in football. They boast the Defensive Player of the Year favorite in Nick Bosa (-833), the second betting favorite for Coach of the Year in Kyle Shanahan (+250), and the longest winning streak in the NFL at eight straight wins.

On the other side, the Raiders’ playoff chances are down to less than one percent.

New York Jets at Seattle Seahawks – Sunday, January 1st, 2023 3:05 pm CST 

Both the Jets and Seahawks took bad losses in Week 16, and their playoff hopes took a hit as well. But both are still in the hunt, and both could move into a playoff spot with a win this week, and a little help.

But at 7-8 they are in need of this win. And according to the oddsmakers, it could go either way. Seattle is just a 1-point favorite, and the moneyline reflects the coin-flip nature of the game. The Jets are paying -105, and the Seahawks are paying -115.
