In the NFL, there are always teams that are expected to do well, and then there are the teams that no one expects to win. In Week 3 of the NFL season, we will saw a number of matchups between these two types of teams. The games that stand out the most to us are the ones in which the underdog is given a chance to win.
The third week of the NFL was full of action, along with a few upsets. Certain games that were considered “locks” ended up falling through the cracks, while others went according to plan.
Let’s check out some of the best NFL games of the week during this NFL Week 3 recap.
Dallas Cowboys vs. New York Giants – 23-16 (Cowboys)
We think that it’s time Dallas Cowboy’s QB Cooper Rush was considered to be a potential starting quarterback. If you look at his record as a starter, then you will see that he’s currently 3-0.
In Week 3, he passed for 215 yards and a touchdown, which resulted in beating the Giants 23-16. Tied at 13-13 to start the fourth quarter, he then threw a quick pass to Ceedee Lamb to take the lead. In conclusion, Rush might earn himself a starting spot very soon.
The New York Giants will begin practice with trying to figure out what happened to their offense. They put up only three points through the first half and couldn’t really get rolling with RB Saquon Barkley.
Barkley had 81 yards on the day, while QB Daniel Jones passed for 196 yards and an interception. The New York Giants will face the Chicago Bears at home this week.
