NFL Week 7 Recap

The seventh week of the NFL was full of action along with a few upsets. Certain games that were considered “locks” ended up falling through the cracks while others went according to plan. Let’s take a look at some of our favorite games of the week during this NFL Week 7 recap. 

Detroit Lions vs. Dallas Cowboys – 24-6 (Cowboys)

The first game we’re going to take a look at is how the Dallas Cowboys moved to 5-1. This game started off slow with the score being 6-3 at halftime. From there, however, it was all Dallas, who ended up scoring 21 points in the second half. Tony Pollard had 12 carries for 83 yards, and Dak Prescott led his team to a solid win at home.

The Detroit Lions need to go back to the drawing board as they’re now 1-5 this season. They have an 0-3 record on the road, and Jared Goff played awfully in this game. He went 21 for 26, passing for 228 yards and two interceptions. It was a bad game for a team that desperately needs a win. 

Green Bay Packers vs. Washington Commanders – 23-21 (Commanders)

The Green Bay Packers are another NFC North team that is struggling. In Week 7, they faced the Washington Commanders and lost 23-21. Now, with a record of 3-4, they’ll head to Buffalo to face Josh Allen and the Bills. The Packers have lost three straight games and each team they were favored against. 

The Washington Commanders pulled off an impressive upset in Week 7. They were led by Taylor Heinicke who passed for 201 yards, two touchdowns, and an interception. It would seem that for now, Heinicke has won the starting spot. They increased their record to 3-4 and will face the Indianapolis Colts in Week 8.
