We’re a month into the 2021/22 NHL season, and while some teams are starting to pull away from the competition and establishing themselves as serious Stanley Cup contenders, it’s still way too early to say what the end of the season will bring.

However, what we can do is look ahead at the upcoming matches and provide you with thoughts on how they will play out and which teams have what it takes to end the week with an additional three points in their pockets.

We have a Central Division matchup on Saturday as the Nashville Predators play in Colorado against the Avalanche.

The Predators are doing well as they are 9-8 against the spread to begin the season, while the Avalanche are 6-8 against the spread thus far. Center Matt Duchene has been playing extremely well as he has ripped 19 points (12 goals, seven assists), and the Avalanche are dealing with a couple of key injuries at this point with center Nathan MacKinnon on Injured Reserve.

Colorado scores the puck well but will struggle to flex their muscles against this pretty good defensively, so go with the Predators on the road.
