Thunder Travels to Indianapolis to Face the Pacers Friday Night

Two teams that are towards the bottom of their perspective conferences face off on Friday. The Oklahoma City Thunder take on the Indiana Pacers at the end of the week. Oklahoma City currently has an 18-40 record, one of the worst in the NBA.

With not many games left in the regular season, this year is looking like a bust for the Thunder. A win could help soothe the pain.

The Indiana Pacers are in a similar boat as the Thunder, especially since they keep losing players. Caris Levert left not long ago, Domantas Sabonis has left as well. The Pacers are cleaning house and hoping to gain more draft stock for upcoming seasons.

However, all of these trades have left the team depleted. Winning this game will be tough with such a limited roster.

The Thunder have a promising team, but they’ve struggled to make waves on offense. Through the season, Oklahoma City has averaged 101.21 points per game. With such a lackluster offense, they’ve been unable to put together a winning record.

However, they’ve been incredible at the sportsbook this year, going 35-19-4 ATS. They’ll likely be underdogs against the Pacers.

Indiana is a team that hasn’t performed in the regular season or at the sportsbook. They currently have a record of 20-40 and are continuing to lose players. The latest departure is Tristan Thompson.

The only glimmer of hope the Pacers have right now is Buddy Hield, one of the best three-point shooters. Still, Hield can’t lead the Pacers to success on his own.

We mentioned above the Thunder’s ability to cover the spread this season. Compared to the Indiana Pacers, the Thunder are the clear pick. The only question we have is whether they’ll be favored or not.

Now, we believe that the Thunder will actually be underdogs here. However, with all of the players missing from the Pacers lineup, the Thunder could actually be favorites here.

The margin would likely be small, but we still believe the Thunder would cover the spread. The Pacers have performed well against the Thunder in the past, going 7-3 in their last ten games.

However, the against the spread record is even at 5-5. The last time these two teams played was in late January, and the Pacers won 113-110. The Thunder were two-point underdogs.

This could lead some bettors to take the Pacers to win the game and cover the spread. However, it’s important to note that the Pacers are 14-17 at home this season, as of today.

With the injuries and trades depleting the Pacers lineup, the best bet is the Thunder. Even if they only come in as narrow underdogs, take the Thunder on the road. We’d also pair this with the under.
