Two Eastern Conference teams are set to face off as we head into the back half of the season. The NBA is heating up with teams fighting for positioning; these teams include the Philadelphia 76ers.

They’ll face off against a struggling New York Knicks team sitting on the outskirts of the conference. One thing we’re wondering is if we’ll see James Harden make his debut Sunday.

The New York Knicks need to start winning games if they want a shot at the NBA Finals. As a team, the Knicks haven’t been able to put the magic together yet.

They currently have a record of 25-34 and were on a three-game losing streak before the All-Star break. Taking on the 76ers will be a tough test of their defense as they take on Joel Embiid. So, who’s the best bet here?

If James Harden makes his debut, you can expect the 76ers to get even better at scoring. Even without Harden, Philadelphia has a huge advantage over the Knicks.

The New York Knicks have the No.27 scoring offense in the NBA, averaging 105.05 points per game. Such a lackluster offense will be a problem when they face Embiid and the 76ers. They’re fairly good on the defensive side, ranking 8th in points allowed.

The question is, can they find a way to stop Joel Embiid. If Harden plays, can they stop both of them together on Sunday?

You’ll want to place your bets on this game before it’s announced whether James Harden is playing. Currently, he’s listed as “questionable” for this game but should be good to go. Keep in mind if he’s cleared to play, the odds will likely go up.

You’ll want these odds at the lowest possible margins. Mainly because we don’t know how Harden will fit into the 76ers lineup.

The last time these two played was in November of 2021, and the 76ers lost 103-96. However, don’t believe that the outcome will be similar this time. Over their last ten meetings, the 76ers are 8-2 when playing the New York Knicks.

Another reason we want the lowest possible odds is due to the 76ers record at the sportsbook. They’ve gone 29-29 against the spread this season.

We definitely believe the 76ers will win this game; the only problem is their record against the spread. Depending on how large the spread is, it might be smarter to take the 76ers at home.

However, if the 76ers are favored by five points and under, take the 76ers on the road. We’d also suggest taking the under since both offenses average around 107 points per game.
