Phoenix Suns at Minnesota Timberwolves Preview

Can the Timberwolves beat the best team in the NBA on Wednesday?

The Phoenix Suns have been on a recent tear lately, taking down some great teams. Not long ago, they took down the Chicago Bulls, 129-102. Being able to beat the Chicago Bulls by over 20 points isn’t an easy feat. On Wednesday, they’ll face the Minnesota Timberwolves and Karl-Anthony Towns. This game is likely to be an entertaining one, so don’t miss out.

The Minnesota Timberwolves have one of the best offenses in the NBA. However, they’re facing the best team in the NBA, so this will be a tough one. Minnesota has played incredibly well over the last few games, so they definitely have a chance here. With Karl-Anthony Towns and the Timberwolves hosting the Suns, let’s see if we can decide who will come out on top Wednesday.

Game Preview: Phoenix Suns at Minnesota Timberwolves March 23rd

The Phoenix Suns have already claimed their spot in the NBA playoffs. Losing this game won’t hurt their standings, but it could help the Timberwolves. Phoenix has the fourth-best offense in the NBA, averaging 114.69 points per game. There are only a few teams better than them at scoring, one of them is the Timberwolves. So, could Minnesota pull off a win on Wednesday?

The Minnesota Timberwolves average 115.20 points per game, the highest in the NBA. This offense is led by Karl-Anthony Towns, who recently had a 60-point game. However, they could be without Anthony Edwards in this game, perhaps their best guard. Guarding Karl-Anthony Towns will be Deandre Ayton, a strong defender. He might be the key to the Suns winning.

Phoenix Suns at Minnesota Timberwolves Betting Prediction

These two teams faced off in late January of last year and the Phoenix Suns were favored. They came in as eight-point favorites and covered the spread with a 134-124 victory. Overall, in their last three games against the Timberwolves, the Suns are 3-0. They have a 2-1 record against the spread in those games and two of three games went under the total.

Phoenix has established itself as the best team in the NBA. They’ll likely secure the first seed in the Western Conference and a win here could help. Deandre Ayton should be able to stop Karl-Anthony Towns as well. The Timberwolves have a long injury report as well, so they won’t be coming into this game at full strength. With that being said, we’ll take the Suns in this one.

Phoenix will likely not be too heavily favored in this game as well. The performance of the Timberwolves in recent games should reduce the spread. In terms of the over or under, we’d consider taking the over here. Both of these teams have incredibly high-powered offenses and their most recent game went well over.
