Preseason Week 2 Commanders vs Chiefs 24-14 Recap

NFL Preseason Week 2 Recap

We had several impressive games during the second week of preseason football in the NFL. Today, we’re going to take a look at a few games that stuck out to us, along with a few players. We’ll also look at a few teams that failed to cover the spread during Week 2.

Washington Commanders vs. Kansas City Chiefs (24-14 Chiefs)

Something very interesting happened during this game; Patrick Mahomes played. This was a risky move by the Kansas City Chiefs, especially against the Washington Commanders’ defense.

Washington’s defense fell flat in Week 2 of the preseason, allowing 314 yards of offense. Their own offense was pretty lackluster as well, turning the ball over and scoring twice all game.

Kansas City Chiefs offense got busy pretty quickly, scoring points in the first quarter. Mahomes finished the day going 12-19 with 162 yards and two touchdowns.

They didn’t have much of a ground attack, however, gaining only 63 yards on the ground. In Week 3, they’ll have to up their attack in the running game. Still, they played an impressive game with Mahomes at the helm.
