NFL Preseason Week 3 Betting Outlook

We’ve got one more week of preseason betting as the NFL Preseason comes to a close. Today we’re going to take a look at each of the games and make our picks for each one.

Los Angeles Chargers vs. New Orleans Saints – August 26, 2022 8:00pm CST

The Los Angeles Chargers are 0-2 during the preseason. Although this is the final game, we don’t expect to see Justin Herbert on the field. The Chargers also have five players on the injury list, so keep that in mind when betting.

The New Orleans Saints are also 0-2 in the preseason after losing to the Packers and Texans. With the quarterback position still being worked out, we should see all three options. Jameis Winston is still listed as questionable, so we’ll take the Chargers.

New England Patriots vs. Las Vegas Raiders – August 26, 2022 8:15pm CST

The New England Patriots will likely let Mac Jones get a few snaps in for this game. With the regular season around the corner, it’ll be good for him to run a few drives. Defense is what the Patriots do best, limiting teams to 16.5 points per game this preseason.

The Las Vegas Raiders traded Nick Mullens to the Minnesota Vikings. This means that we’ll see a lot more of Jarrett Stidham in this game. We could also end up seeing Derek Carr take the field. Still, the Patriots’ defense should be able to shut down the Raiders.
