December NCAA Basketball Schedule for the Boilermakers
December will start conference play for the Boilermakers and it is tough right from the get-go. They will play Iowa at home on December 3rd. Iowa, who is currently unranked, will definitely find themselves moving into the ranking as they have started out the season 5-0.
Iowa is a veteran group, led by sharpshooter Keegan Murray. The sophomore athletic forward can play just about any position on the court with his skillset. Iowa also features guard Jordan Bohannon who is one of the best facilitators in college basketball. This will be one of the toughest challenges for Purdue as both teams match up well.
While there are no other top 25 teams on the schedule for Purdue in December, it will be a big month of proving themselves worthy of being atop the Big Ten. Purdue will take on Rutgers, North Carolina State, and Butler following the Iowa game. Purdue will end their December against the Incarnate Word Cardinals.
Purdue Boilermakers Title Odds
Purdue is currently at +1200 to win the NCAA tournament this season. If a bettor was to place a $100 bet on Purdue to win, the payout on that would be $1300. The Boilermakers are a veteran-led team, with Zach Edey being the only underclassman in the starting lineup. This will be a big help during the biggest tournament of the season.
Purdue is the major favorite to win the Big Ten this season with their odds around +180. If a bettor was to place a $100 bet on Purdue to win the Big Ten, they would have a $280 payout. With the Big Ten seemingly down this season, the chances Purdue wins the Big Ten seem to be growing daily.
