Purdue moves up to #3 in the country this week from #6 as they beat both North Carolina and Villanova to win the Tip-Off Classic. Purdue cemented themselves as a contender this year as they beat the former #17 and #5 teams in the country and did it all while not playing their best.

Look for Purdue to have a shot at being the #1 team in the country next week. If Gonzaga beats UCLA and then loses to Duke later this week, it could open up the door for Purdue to move up to the #1 spot for the first time in their program history.

Who was the Other Stagnant Top 25 Team?

As mentioned above, UCLA and Gonzaga stood strong at the top as #1 and #2. Texas Longhorns was the other team that did not have any movement in the Top 25 as they are still the #8 team in the country.

They only had two games this past week, and both were easy blowout wins. They aren’t going to face much competition until they face #21 Seton Hall.
