Associated Press AP Poll Top 25 Update

The AP Top 25 poll for men’s college basketball is officially available. Like last week, there was little movement this week, although there were still some notable teams moving around. Let’s look at the Top 25 this week and try to figure out how the poll could look like next week. 

How did the Rest of the Top 10 Look?

The Top 10 had a ton of movement, and we saw everyone in the Top 10 besides Baylor and #10 Michigan State move within the Top 10. Both Duke and Purdue lost this past week, and they had been at the #2 and #3 spots for a couple of weeks. Duke moved down to #8, and Purdue fell to #7 in the poll.

Thus, Gonzaga moved up to #2 from #4 in the rankings, and UCLA moved up from #5 to #3. Both of these teams have been stalwarts in the Top 5 this season. Auburn moved up to #6 from #8, and USC bumped up to #5 from #7 to round out the Top 5.

Arizona moved up to #6 from #8, and they have risen to the highest spot that they have been in all year long. Kansas was at #6 but dropped to #9. Michigan State, as mentioned above, stayed at #10.
