The Mavericks are seated at the No.5 spot; however, they’re being followed closely. Can the Kings make it even closer?

The Dallas Mavericks seem to have everything going for them right now. Not long ago, they took down the Golden State Warriors and the Los Angeles Lakers. With playoffs on the horizon, a few more key wins would be good for Dallas.

Getting a conference win over the Kings here is definitely an important game. The question is, can they cover the large spread laid out for them?

So, they’ll continue to score points while the Kings have difficulty doing so. However, can they score enough to cover the spread?

This season, the Mavericks have gone 16-14-1 against the spread at home. The Kings, on the other hand, are 13-17 against the spread on the road. Overall, the Mavericks are leagues better than the Kings at the sportsbook.

As long as the margin is within 10 points, we’d take the Dallas Mavericks. However, if it starts to exceed 10 points, you should reevaluate and take the Kings.

We feel this game is a no-brainer to take the over. The defense of the Kings is awful, and the total is likely going to be set low. The Kings are 33-29-1 against the total this season, while the Mavericks are 21-39-2.

However, the Kings’ defense gives the Mavericks a chance to score quite a few points. If the total is set below 217, take the over. If it goes any higher, take the under.
