Sacramento Kings at Los Angeles Clippers Predictions

The Sacramento Kings Travel to Los Angeles to Battle the Clippers

The Sacramento Kings have already been eliminated from playoff contention. However, this doesn’t mean they’ll go easy on the Los Angeles Clippers. In fact, they recently took two straight wins over the Houston Rockets. On Saturday, they’ll have to face one of the emerging offenses in the NBA. Can the Sacramento defense find a way to slow down the LA Clippers?

Los Angeles has a few stars emerging in its lineup, Robert Covington being one of them. He scored 43 points against the Milwaukee Bucks, a career-high game for Covington. The Clippers are beginning to rest their starters, so the weight falls on Covington again. As it stands, the Clippers have the No.8 spot in the conference. A win here would be vital to their morale.

Game Preview: Sacramento Kings at Los Angeles Clippers Game Preview

The Kings have quite an impressive offense, but it hasn’t led to very many wins. Ranked 16th in the NBA, the Kings average 110.41 points per game. However, at the time of writing, the Kings have only won 29 games. The main problem for Sacramento is their defense, which allows 115.75 points per game. This defense ranks amongst the worst in the NBA, at 29th overall.

The Los Angeles Clippers had a rough road to the playoffs. Throughout the entire year, they dealt with injuries but somehow made it in. Due to efforts by players like Reggie Jackson and Robert Covington, the Clippers are on the right track. On average, the Clippers score 107.87 points per game, ranking in the bottom ten of the NBA. Still, this team has a spot in the playoffs.

Sacramento Kings at Los Angeles Clippers Betting Prediction

The Kings receive a little bit of an advantage since they don’t have to face the Clippers’ starters. However, they will have to play the Clippers at home, where they’ve gone 22-16 this season. The last time these two played was in late December of 2021, and the Clippers were on the road in that game. Los Angeles came into the game as four-point underdogs and put on quite the show.

By putting on a show, we mean displaying their incredible defense. The Clippers held the Kings to just 89 points, winning the game 105-89. The Clippers will look to do the same thing here, even if they’re without their starters. After seeing how they performed against the Bucks, we’ll take the Clippers to win this game at home. They should be able to cover the spread as well.

When betting on the total, we’d definitely recommend taking the under in this game. Over their last three games against each other, the total has gone under. The Kings will likely be without De’Aaron Fox, their best scorer. So, no need to take the over in this game as there won’t be much scoring.
