Sacramento Kings Travel to Miami to Face the Heat

The Sacramento Kings, one of the worst teams in the Western Conference, has their work cut out for them here. On Monday, they face the Miami Heat, the best team in the Eastern Conference.

In order to get a win in this one, they’ll have to pull out all the stops. The good news is the Kings were able to beat them before. The question is, can they do it again?

The Miami Heat had some trouble on the sideline in their loss to the Golden State Warriors. Jimmy Butler went back and forth with his coach and his fellow players. Losing games can ignite a fire under a team, and that’s what we think will happen here.

The Sacramento Kings scored a recent win over the Indiana Pacers, 110-109. However, the Indiana Pacers aren’t nearly as good as the Miami Heat. The Kings’ trouble in this game will be their defense, which ranks 29th in the NBA.

Allowing an average of 115.86, the Kings need to find a way to shore up this defense. If not, the Miami Heat will blow by them on Monday night.

Speaking of strong defenses, the Miami Heat rank fourth in the NBA in points allowed. They only surrender an average of 104.90 points per game. With a defense this strong, it’s not hard to see why they lead the Eastern Conference.

However, their offense needs to be much better, averaging only 109.47 points per game. They can hone this offense against the Kings’ defense.

Sacramento Kings at Miami Heat Betting Prediction

As we stated above, the Kings have been able to beat the Miami Heat before. It was back in early January of 2022, the last time these two teams faced each other. Miami came into the game as a 3.5-point favorite and was playing on the road.

Miami’s offense did well in this game, scoring 113 points. However, it wasn’t enough, and the Kings beat the Miami Heat 115-113.

Although they came away with a win that time, we don’t see this happening on Monday. The Kings are playing the Miami Heat at home, where they’ve currently only lost ten games.

Miami has also been incredible at covering the spread this season, going 40-32-1 so far. Sure, they had a hiccup against the Warriors, but maybe it’s what they needed to light a fire under them.

When betting on the total in this game, we’d recommend taking the under for sure. The Miami defense is too strong for the Kings, and Sacramento will have trouble scoring. Because of this, we’ll take the Miami Heat at home, with the total going under.
