NBA Look Ahead; Sun Jan 9, 2022; 6:30pm CT
The NBA will be heading to the All-Star break very soon, but we have some important games coming up. With so many teams trying to find their positioning in their respective conferences, this should be a fun week.
The games we have lined up all have high stakes and will be important this season. Let’s get you familiar with the games we’ll be covering for this week.
The matchup we look at is between the San Antonio Spurs and Brooklyn Nets. This all goes down on Sunday, January 9, 2022; at 6:30pm Central Time.Â
San Antonio Spurs Travel to Brooklyn to Face the Nets
Our final game is the San Antonio Spurs against the Brooklyn Nets. The Spurs are going to be huge underdogs in this game, as they’re one of the worst teams in the NBA.
However, the Nets will still have to fight hard to cover the large spread. The good news for the Spurs is that they could get a few players back from quarantine by Sunday.
As we mentioned earlier, the Nets aren’t very good against the spread this season. They have a 14-19-1 ATS record and are 4-13-1 ATS at home. This doesn’t give us a whole lot of confidence in the Nets to cover.
We believe the points spread in this one will be over ten points, so we’ll take the Spurs. They likely won’t win, but they’re 20-15 against the spread this season.
