Seattle Seahawks Betting Odds | Preseason

The Seattle Seahawks went 12-4 last season and started out the 2020-2021 campaign with a 5-0 record. Russell Wilson was an MVP candidate for most of the season, and Seattle scored the most points in their regular-season history. The Seahawks still managed to come away with what was considered a disappointing season, however, after being eliminated in the Wild Card round at home. Offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer was even let go despite Seattle’s offensive success, as Pete Carroll will now have more of an influence on that side of the game going forward.

If you placed a bet on the Seahawks last season, Seattle went 8-8 against the spread. On over/unders, Seattle covered both eight times.

The Seahawks will forever remain a Super Bowl contender as long as Wilson is their QB, and it certainly helps when you have receivers DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett at your disposal. Chris Carson is also one of the most underrated running backs in the NFL and is currently averaging 4.6 yards per carry in his NFL career. The Hawks also upgraded at the tight end position, adding Gerald Everett.

The defense is going to remain one of the biggest issues for Seattle this season. The Seahawks were a disaster against the pass last year and lost corners Shaquill Griffin and Quinton Dunbar in the offseason. Hawks linebackers K.J. Wright and Bruce Irvin were not re-signed, and defensive tackle Jarran Reed was released by Seattle in March.

Middle linebacker Bobby Wagner is the leader of the Hawks defense, but safety Jamal Adams is the biggest x-factor. Adams missed four games last season, and the Hawks were significantly worse without their All-Pro energizer bunny.

Action 247 Sportsbook has the Seahawks over/under for wins this season set at 9.5. Seattle is +275 to win the NFC West this season and are listed at +2500 to win Super Bowl 56.
