SEC Betting Preview | 2021 NCAA Football Post 2

Sports Betting in Tennessee on SEC

SEC betting preview features Florida, LSU, and Auburn. These teams have the 4th, 5th, and 6th highest odds to win the conference championship.

Any of these three teams could sneak up on Alabama or Georgia at any time this season. Other than Alabama, you just never know which one of these programs is going to dominate SEC play.

They’re all so talented; they have to match up before you can see who the favorites should be, which isn’t a bad problem to have unless you are a bettor.

Let’s look at the betting odds and then break down some of the top odds to win the SEC Championship Game.

Team Odds
Alabama -227

Texas A&M +900
Florida +900

Tennessee +7900

#4. Florida Gators | +900 to Win Big Ten Championship

Florida lost the SEC Championship to Alabama a season ago but managed to finish the season at 8-4 overall with an 8-3 conference record. They were ranked #13 in the final AP Poll of the 2020 season.

Florida’s offense was one of the best in the country last season. They averaged nearly 40 points per game and ranked #13 in the FBS. They kick off the 2021 season ranked #13 in the nation again.

The Gators offense takes a hit this season as they lost Kyle Trask and Kadarius Toney, among others. Up and comer Emory Jones will take the snaps for Florida this season.

Action247 Sportsbook has the Gators win total at 8.5 with +1200 odds to win the SEC Championship. Florida is at +4000 to win the National title.

#5. LSU Tigers | +1200 to Win SEC Championship

The LSU Tigers head into the 2021 season ranked #16 in the nation. Not quite as vaunted as the standard LSU bunch, but a top 20 preseason ranking is nothing to scoff at.

Starting quarterback Max Johnson will be under center for the Tigers in 2021. Johnson is yet another leading Heisman candidate in the SEC. In 6 games last season, Johnson threw for 1,069 and 8 touchdowns to only one pick.

It seems to be the consensus that Johnson and the LSU offense will be much improved in 2021. There’s nothing wrong with 39th in the nation, but that won’t win an SEC title.

Action247 Sportsbook has LSU’s win total at 8.5 with +1200 odds to win the SEC. They are also at +4000 to win the National Championship.

#6. Auburn Tigers | +2000 to Win SEC Championship

Bo Nix returns as the starting quarterback for the Auburn Tigers this season. Nix threw for nearly 2,500 yards and 12 touchdowns to 7 interceptions in 2020. That’s a ratio that Nix must improve in 2021.

Auburns’ offense only ranked 90th in the FBS last season. It was their defense that landed them 6 wins. A defense that only allowed 24 points per game and was ranked 38th. Not what Auburn is used to at all.

Action247 Sportsbook has Auburn’s win total set at only 6.5 this season. Apparently, Vegas wants to see some improvement as well. Their odds to win the SEC Championship are at +2000, and their National title odds are at +10000.  Â
