SEC Betting Preview | 2021 NCAA Football Post 1

Sports Betting in Tennessee on SEC

SEC is king when it comes to college football, and that won’t change in 2021. The SEC is wildly popular and talented that we’re going to break this conference down into 3 blot post.

SEC includes some of the top teams in the nation. The SEC is so deep that Tiers 2 and 3 could probably win most other conferences in the FBS. There are 5 different SEC quarterbacks that are ranked in the top 25 of Heisman odds as well.

Alabama heads into the 2021 season the defending SEC Champs after beating Florida 52-46 in the 2020 Championship game. The Crimson Tide are the favorite to win it again this season, which is pretty much an evergreen statement at this point.

Georgia and Texas A&M come in ranked right behind them. The Bulldogs are stacked this season, so don’t be surprised to see them move up the rankings and odds quickly once the season starts.

Let’s take a look at the SEC schedule, betting odds, and then break down some of the top odds to win the SEC Championship Game.

#1. Alabama Crimson Tide | -227 to Win Big Ten Championship

Honestly, we would just like to write one word for this team’s breakdown. Alabama. That’s it. That’s the summary.

The defending champion Crimson Tide head into the season as favorites to win their division and conference once again. With another scary Alabama defense, it isn’t hard to understand why.

Mac Jones is the starting QB for the Patriots in the NFL this season, so Alabama looks to Bryce Young to keep the offense moving. Young has the 3rd highest odds to win the Heisman this season and is making bank on the NIL.

The Crimson Tide’s offense ranked 2nd, and their defense ranked 12th in the FBS. Many players in their lineup headed to the NFL after last season, but with another A+ recruiting class, those holes are already filled with talent.

Action247 Sportsbook has Alabama’s win total set at 11.5, and their odds to win the SEC Championship are at -125. Their odds to win the National Championship are at +240, the best in the nation.

#2. Georgia Bulldogs | +600 to Win SEC Championship

If anyone is going to give Alabama a run for their money in 2021, it will be the Georgia Bulldogs. They finished the 2020 season with an 8-2 overall record. Their conference record was 7-2. After making it in 2 straight SEC Championships, Georgia fell a bit short last season.

Georgia’s defense ranked 18th in the FBS last season. Their offense wasn’t quite up to par and was ranked 34th. Still better than most teams in the conference and country.

Georgia has a Heisman candidate of their own in JT Daniels, who has the 5th highest odds to win the award.

Action247 Sportsbook has the Bulldogs win total set at 10.5 in 2020. They are at +240 to win the SEC and +700 to win the National title.

#3. Texas A&M | +900 to Win SEC Championship

Texas A&M beats out several other solid SEC teams to land in our 1st tier. The Aggies finished the 2020 season with a 9-1 overall record and 8-1 in the SEC. They were ranked 4th in the final 2020 AP Top 25.

A&M ranked one place higher than Georgia in offensive points per game last season with a 32.6 point average. Three-tenths of a point more than the Bulldogs.

They only allowed 21.7 points per game last season, making their defense top 20 and most it returns for the 2021 season. This should play well since they have to face a half dozen Heisman candidates.

Action 247 has the Aggies win total at 9.5 with +900 odds to win the conference. Only 6 teams have better odds to win the national title than A&M at +3000.
