St Louis Blues Travel to New York City to Face the Rangers

The St. Louis Blues will travel to Madison Square Garden on Wednesday night to take on the New York Rangers in a non-conference matchup.

The Blues are sitting in second place in the Central Division (31-14-6, 68 points) while the Rangers are third in the Metropolitan Division (33-14-5, 71 points) so far. 

With the combination of center Jordan Kyrou, left winger Artemi Panarin, and defenseman Adam Fox to name a few, this should be a great matchup of stars in the World’s Most Famous Arena.

The Blues have been incredibly talented on the offensive side of the ice as they are scoring 3.57 goals on 30.8 shot attempts per game this season.

Center Jordan Kyrou has been playing extremely well as he has recorded 48 points (20 goals, 28 assists) and have scored five points in his last three games. A big reason for the team’s success was their ability to score on the power play, as they have a 26.8 power play percentage this year. 

Goaltender Jordan Bennington has been struggling a bit this year as he is 12-10-3 with 3.25 goals allowed and saving 90 percent of all shots this season. Defensively, St. Louis is giving up 2.73 goals on 31.7 shots per game. They also have been doing well as they have an 84.7 kill percentage this season. 

The New York Rangers have been a great young team as they are scoring 2.90 goals on 28.7 shot attempts per game. They, too, have been scoring with the man advantage well as they have a 25.9 power play percentage.

Left winger Artemi Panarin has been doing extremely well as he is tied for sixth in the league in assists as he is putting up 55 points (14 goals, 41 assists) and recorded three points in his last four games. 

Igor Shesterkin has been killing it inside the net this season for New York as he is 25-6-3 while allowing just 1.95 goals and saving 94.1 percent of shots, which both lead the NHL.

As a team, they are allowing 2.44 goals on 32 shot attempts. A big reason why is their ability to kill 83.2 percent of penalties against them.

Betting Predictions for this Game Between Two of the Top Teams in the NHL

The New York Rangers are 26-26 ATS this season, while the Blues are an incredible 30-21 ATS so far. St. Louis is a dominant offense that can overwhelm Shesterkin a bit.

The Blues are scoring 4.4 goals in their previous five games, while the Rangers are averaging two goals in that same stretch of games. Go with the Blues to cover the puck line on the road, as they should dominate this game against another incredible franchise right now.
