Tampa Bay Buccaneers Betting Odds | Preseason

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers won their first-ever Super Bowl in franchise history last season, defeating the Kansas City Chiefs on home field in the big game. Tom Brady’s first season in Tampa Bay was an absolute success, as he led the Bucs past Drew Brees and Aaron Rodgers on the road in the postseason. Brady was named Super Bowl MVP against the Chiefs, but it was the defense that really made its mark, limiting Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reid to only nine points.

Tampa Bay’s 11-5 record was a massive improvement over their 7-9 record a season prior and was their most regular-season wins since 2005.

If you placed a bet on the Buccaneers last season, Tampa Bay went 9-7 against the spread. On over/unders, the Bucs covered the over nine times as well. Tampa’s cover margin of 8.6 points was fourth-best in the NFL.

The Bucs are bringing their same core back, with Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, Antonio Brown, and Rob Gronkowski all returning on offense. Running backs Ronald Jones and Leonard Fournette will also once again share duties in the backfield.

Defensively, Tampa remains loaded up front with names like Ndamukong Suh and Jason Pierre-Paul. Bruce Arians’ club also has arguably the best linebacking trio in the NFL, which consists of Devin White, Lavonte David, and Shaquill Barrett. Safety Antoine Winfield Jr. enters his second year in the league and is coming off making the Pro Football Writers All-Rookie Team last season.

Action 247 Sportsbook has the Buccaneers over/under for wins this season set at 12. Tampa Bay is a massive -238 favorite to win the NFC South this season and have the second-best odds to win Super Bowl 56 at +700 behind Kansas City (+500).
