Tampa Bay Lightning Travel to Boston to Face the Bruins

The Tampa Bay Lightning will head to the TD Garden to take on the Boston Bruins in an Eastern Conference showdown.

This will be the third of four games against one another this season, with both teams picking up a victory. The last game time they met was on January 8th, and the Bruins picked up a 5-2 road win.

These teams have been playing very well this year as Tampa Bay is second in the Atlantic Division (39-16-8, 84 points) while Boston is fourth in the Atlantic Division (38-19-5, 81 points). 

Both teams have been playing well and have some incredible star power on their rosters, so it will be an interesting matchup to see how they will square off against one another.

The Lightning are definitely a threat on the offensive end as they are averaging 3.33 goals on 30.2 shots this season. They are being led by center Steven Stamkos is tied for 18th in the NHL in points, tied for 21st in goals, and tied for 26th in assists as he has posted 66 points (27 goals, 39 assists). He has scored three points in his last five games.

Defensively, Tampa Bay is giving up 2.79 goals on 29.7 shot attempts as a whole. A big reason has been the incredible play from goaltender Andrei Vasilevskiy as he is 32-12-4 with a .919 save percentage and 2.36 goals allowed per game. 

Boston is doing well as they are led by right winger David Pastrnak as he is tied for eighth in hockey in goals and tied for 26th in the league in points as he has recorded 61 points (33 goals, 28 assists) while adding four points in their previous five games.

As a team, they are scoring three goals on 35.4 shot attempts per game thus far. Goalie Linus Ullmark has been doing decent as he is 19-9-2 with 2.72 goals allowed per game and a .909 save percentage. On the defensive side of things, the Bruins are allowing 2.66 goals on 29 shots as a team right now.

These are two of the more talented teams in all of the National Hockey League, and this should be a close matchup. Tampa is an incredible 20-10-2 on the road this season, and they have one of the greatest goalies of the last few seasons and should dominate here once again.

Neither team has been doing well against the spread as Tampa Bay is 28-33 while Boston is 23-39 this season. All in all, go with the Tampa Bay Lightning to cover the puck line!
