NCAA Basketball Look Ahead; Saturday, Jan. 15
The college basketball season is already underway, and conference play is now fully on the schedule. Over the last several weeks, there have been a lot of surprises, and that isn’t going to stop anytime soon. As we’ve progressed through the season, there have been some major upsets, and the week ahead is shaping up to be even more spectacular.
Below, we will look at Texas Longhorns vs Iowa State Cyclones.
Texas Longhorns Travels to Iowa to Face the Iowa State Cyclones
The Texas Longhorns and the Iowa State Cyclones meet on the 15th in what will be a great Big 12 battle. Texas is 13-3 on the season and 3-1 in conference play.
Iowa State is 13-3 on the year but are 1-3 in conference play after having a very tough schedule to start January. Texas is currently ranked #21 in the country, while Iowa State is #15 in the country.
Both teams are scoring 70.4 points a game, while defensively, they are a little different. Texas allows 53.0 points a game, and Iowa State allows 58.6 points a game. Both of these teams shoot 45 percent from the floor and grab 34 rebounds a game.
They are also tied with the same amount of assists, blocks, and steals. This will be a highly competitive contest, but I would give the lean-to Iowa State at home.
