Toronto Maple Leafs Travel to Boston to Face the Bruins

The Toronto Maple Leafs will take on the Boston Bruins inside of the TD Garden in an Eastern Conference showdown. This will be the second of three regular-season games against one another; the Maple Leafs picked up a 5-2 home victory all the way back on November 6th, with the final game coming on April 29th.

Toronto is second in the Atlantic Division (40-18-5, 85 points), while Boston is technically third in the Atlantic Division by percentage points (40-19-5, 85 points) this season.

As an offense, they are averaging 3.65 goals on 34.5 shot attempts per game. With Jack Campbell being listed on Injured Reserve with a ribs injury so goalie Petr Mrazek will be in the net and is 11-6-0 with 3.39 goals allowed per game and a .885 save percentage. Defensively as a team, the Maple Leafs are giving up 3.02 goals on 30.8 shots so far. 

The Bruins have been doing very well on the offensive side of things as they are scoring three goals on 35.6 shots this season. Right winger David Pastrnak is tied for sixth in the NHL in goals and tied for 25th in all of hockey in points as he has 64 points (36 goals, 28 assists) while scoring just three points in his last four games.

On the defensive side, Boston is allowing 2.64 goals on 28.9 shot attempts right now. Goaltender Jeremy Swayman has been one of the best in the sport as he splits time with Linus Ullmark and has a 19-8-3 record with a .925 save percentage and 2.09 goals allowed per game.

Boston is playing a lot better as of late as they are on a bit of a hot streak right now as we reach the conclusion of the regular season. However, this is going to be a very close game as both teams are playing well and can defend extremely well against the power play as a whole.

Neither team has shown the ability to cover the spread as a great team in that department as Toronto is 26-37 while Boston is just 24-40. All in all, go with the Toronto Maple Leafs to cover the goal line!
