Utah Jazz Travel to Brooklyn to Face the Nets

The Utah Jazz just had a dominant win over the Chicago Bulls a few nights ago. Now, they’ll look to take down another Eastern Conference team when they face the Brooklyn Nets.

In their game against the Bulls, Donovan Mitchell put up 37 points. If he can have another game such as that, they could take down Brooklyn. However, they’ll have to get through Kevin Durant first.

Kevin Durant could be without Kyrie Irving and Seth Curry in this Monday night game. Unfortunately, those are two of his biggest support players. Irving just had a 60-point night against the Orlando Magic.

However, when they went home to face the Magic and Kyrie was out, they lost 113-111. With a few players down for Brooklyn, the Nets might not be the best bet.

The Utah Jazz has one of the top ten offenses in the NBA. On average, they put up 113.82 points per game, ranking 6th in the NBA. How they’ll use this offense against the Nets will be key, especially since they’re missing players.

The injury list for the Jazz continues to grow as Bojan Bogdanovic is still out. They’re also missing Danuel House Jr. in this Monday night game.

The Nets struggle when they don’t have both Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant on the court. Because of this, they could have trouble stopping both Donovan Mitchell and Rudy Gobert.

Since Ben Simmons is still sidelined, the Nets are missing the defender they traded James Harden for. On his own, Kevin Durant will have to find a way to take down the Utah Jazz.

Utah Jazz at Brooklyn Nets Betting Prediction

These two teams last played each other in early February of 2022. The Jazz came in as 5.5-point favorites and had the benefit of playing at home. They easily walked over the Brooklyn Nets, 125-102, and we could see the same outcome on Monday.

The key in that game was the availability of players; the same is true here. Without Irving, the Nets have a hard time winning.

The Jazz could come in as favorites again here, but we think the margin will be lower. They’re not at home, and they recently lost to the Milwaukee Bucks.

It’s important to note that the Jazz has an incredible 8-2 record over the Nets in their last ten meetings. Against the spread in those games, the Jazz is 7-3 and have gone 2-1 in their last three. To us, this seems like the best bet.

When betting on the total in this game, it’s important to remember the offenses of these teams. Utah has the sixth-best offense, while the Nets have the 10th. However, over their last three games, the total has gone under twice.

Although the under seems like the more likely outcome, we think the over would be a better choice. Especially with how the Jazz have been scoring.
