Both the Utah Jazz and New York Knicks have seen injuries begin to pile up. With some of their key role players sideline, the Jazz could be in a bit of trouble.

However, they still have great players such as Rudy Gobert and Donovan Mitchell to rely on. The good news is the Jazz have performed well on the road. Perhaps they can move up in the Western Conference with a win.

The New York Knicks are still trying to find a way to work themselves into the top ten in the East. Unfortunately, this hasn’t gone well for them over the last few games.

Not long ago, they lost 110-107 to the Brooklyn Nets. Had they won that game, they’d be one step closer to a play-in position in the NBA playoffs. On Sunday, they’ll look to get a much-needed win.

Gobert leads the team in field-goal percentage at 71,5%. This team knows how to put points on the board, something the New York Knicks have struggled with.

The Knicks as a team average 105.94 points per game, ranking 27th in the NBA. Having one of the worst offenses in the NBA has been a definite hindrance to their ability to win games.

On Sunday, they face one of the best offenses, so they’ll have to rely on their defense. Fortunately, their defense ranks eighth in the NBA in points allowed, only giving up 107.03 points per game.

Utah Jazz at New York Knicks Betting Prediction

The question remains, will the Knicks defense be enough to stop the Utah Jazz? Well, when they faced the Brooklyn Nets, who have Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving, they allowed 110 points.

This gives us a little faith in the Knicks’ defense, considering they nearly won the game. However, their last game against the Utah Jazz ended up in a very disappointing loss for the Knicks.

These two teams last played each other on February 7th, 2022, and the Jazz was at home. By the end of the game, the Jazz had won 113-104, covering the 6.5-point spread.

We’ll likely see a similar spread in this game, so we can assume the Jazz will be favored again. Although they won the most recent game, we still would rather take the Knicks against the spread in this one.

New York has been able to keep games close against good teams. They only lost by three to the Brooklyn Nets and lost by four to the Memphis Grizzlies.

If they could stay competitive in those games, they should be able to do the same in this one. We also expect the total to go under; in their last three meetings, the total has gone under each time.
