Vegas Golden Knights at Seattle Kraken Betting Preview

The Seattle Kraken Play Host to the Vegas Golden Knights

The Vegas Golden Knights will head to the Climate Pledge Arena to take on the Seattle Kraken in a divisional matchup on Friday night. This will be the last of four games against one another as they last played on March 30, but the Golden Knights hold the season series lead. Vegas is currently fourth in the Pacific Division (36-28-4, 76 points), while Seattle is struggling as they are last in the Pacific Division (21-39-6, 48 points) as of this writing.

This will be a solid matchup as there is some pretty good talent, so this should be a great game. Let’s take a deeper dive into the Vegas Golden Knights and the Seattle Kraken as they square off for the fourth and final time.

Game Preview: Vegas Golden Knights at Seattle Kraken

Center Jonathan Marchessault has been leading the way for the Golden Knights as he has produced 53 points (25 goals, 28 assists) and is on a hot streak as he scored five points in the last two games. As a team, they are scoring 3.12 goals on 34.1 shot attempts thus far.

With Robin Lehner on Injured Reserve and Laurent Brossoit being listed as out, rookie goalie Logan Thompson is expected to be inside the net as he has a 5-4-0 record with 2.89 goals allowed per game and a .914 save percentage. On the defensive side of things, Vegas gave up 3.02 goals on 30.1 shots up to this point.

Seattle is struggling to find the back of the net as a team as they are averaging 2.64 goals on 29 shots. Center Yanni Gourde is leading the team in points and assists this season as he has recorded 39 points (16 goals, 23 assists) while scoring four points in his previous five games.

Goaltender Philipp Grubauer has been struggling in the net this season as he is 15-27-5 with an .889 save percentage and 3.19 goals allowed per game. The Kraken are struggling defensively as they are allowing 3.52 goals on 29 shot attempts right now.

Vegas Golden Knights at Seattle Kraken Betting Prediction

The major thing that keeps these teams so close to one another as of late is the defensive side of things. Vegas is giving up three goals in their previous four games, while Seattle is allowing 2.3 goals in their last four games. The injuries to the Golden Knights’ goalies will make them a lot worse than they can be here.

These teams are at a different level against the spread as the Golden Knights are 27-41 against the spread while the Kraken are 30-36 against the spread. Go with the Seattle Kraken to cover the puck line here, being a home underdog and getting 1.5 goals here.
