Warriors at Lakers Betting Preview and Predictions

Golden State Warriors Travel to Los Angeles to Face the Lakers

The Golden State Warriors are getting closer to unseating the Phoenix Suns at the top of the West. However, it’s going to take a lot more key wins from them to do so.

On Saturday, they face the disgruntled Los Angeles Lakers. This game will give Stephen Curry and the Warriors a chance at another conference win. A win here puts them one game closer to the Phoenix Suns.

The Los Angeles Lakers are going to have a long offseason if they miss the playoffs. Frankly, they might have a long offseason full of trades regardless.

Still, nothing boosts morale like a win over one of the best teams in the conference. If they can take down the Warriors, it might give the Lakers the boost they need. If not, they could see themselves out of the top ten on Saturday.

Game Preview: Golden State Warriors at Los Angeles Lakers March 5th

The Golden State Warriors have one of the best offenses in the NBA. However, what some don’t know is they have a really strong defense to go along with it. The Warriors only allow 103.61 points per game, ranking third in the NBA.

Their offense has mixed in great shooting with teamwork, and you get the No.10 offense in the NBA. So, do the Lakers even stand a chance?

The Los Angeles Lakers have been pretty awful lately, especially after the All-Star break. Even with LeBron James, the Lakers have struggled to get any cohesion on offense.

At this point, it seems as if the players are playing against each other instead of with each other. However, they were able to keep their last game against the Warriors pretty close and covered the spread.

Golden State Warriors at Los Angeles Lakers Betting Prediction

In their last game against the Lakers, the Warriors came in as 6.5-point favorites. They won the game, but only 117-115, failing to cover the spread. The Warriors have also struggled to cover the spread when traveling, going 13-14-2.

The injuries are starting to mount up for the Warriors as well. Klay Thompson, Andre Igoudala, and James Wiseman could all be out for this game.

The Los Angeles Lakers will likely be without a few players as well, mainly Anthony Davis. There isn’t a timetable on when he’ll return, which will be a problem for Los Angeles.

The Lakers have been pretty bad against the spread this season, especially at home. They have a 13-21 record against the spread when playing at home. Overall, they’re 26-35 against the spread.

When choosing who to take here, injuries are going to be a factor. Stephen Curry might have a hard time scoring on his own without Klay Thompson. Because of this, we’re going to go with the Los Angeles Lakers to cover the spread here.

However, we do think the Warriors will win the game, and the total will go under.
