Golden State Warriors Travel to Orlando to Face the Magic
The Warriors are dealing with injuries at the wrong time. The NBA playoffs are almost here, and now, Stephen Curry could be out up until then.
The good news is, the Warriors have players in their lineup that step up in these situations. Led by Draymond Green and Klay Thompson, the Warriors will face off against the Orlando Magic. A team they have beaten easily in the past.
The Orlando Magic have their own list of injuries as well, including Jalen Suggs, a bright spot on the team. However, the Magic have been eliminated from playoff contention, so now it’s about finishing strong.
Although the Warriors are injured, it’d be quite the win for the Magic to claim. If they can’t win at home, they could win at the sportsbook, especially with such a large spread.
Game Preview: Golden State Warriors at Orlando Magic March 22nd
The defense of the Golden State Warriors gets a massive upgrade with Draymond Green back. Their scoring takes a dive without having Stephen Curry on the court. In the game he got injured in, the Warriors ended up losing 110-88 to the Boston Celtics.
Now that they’re back on the road, they’ll look to Klay Thompson to lead the team. However, does this mean they’ll cover?
Orlando lost by 14 points to the Detroit Pistons; before that, they lost by 42 to the Brooklyn Nets. This basketball team is trying the best they can but coming up short each time. Their defense ranks 22nd in the NBA in points allowed at 112.20.
Unfortunately, their offense doesn’t do much to help, averaging 104.24 points per game. Even with the large spread, the Magic are a bad bet.
Golden State Warriors at Orlando Magic Betting Prediction
The last time these two faced off saw the Warriors pull off a 126-95 win at home. This time, they’re on the road and without their leading scorer.
However, the Warriors still have a better offense than the Pistons, who just beat the Magic by 14. The margin will likely be decreased in this game because of the injuries Golden State has suffered. This puts them in a good position.
For starters, we’d recommend taking the Warriors over the Orlando Magic against the spread. We’ve seen how bad their defense can be, and the Warriors still have great shooters on the court.
Expect a much bigger game from Klay Thompson as he takes the court without Stephen Curry. The Warriors are 18-15 on the road; we think they’ll add another win to that record.
Lastly, the total could be set pretty high because of the Magic’s recent games. The last time they played the Warriors, the total was set at 217, and it went well over.
If the total is set to a similar number here, we’d take the over again. However, if it rises to 226.5, we’d likely take the under.
