Warriors at Timberwolves Preview and Predictions

Golden State Warriors Travel to Minneapolis to Face the Timberwolves

The Golden State Warriors have one of the best offensive and defensive combinations in the NBA. Both their offense and defense will be put to the test when they have to take on the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Golden State is still missing a few players, but that wasn’t a problem against Portland. Could they have the same success against the Timberwolves on Tuesday?

The Minnesota Timberwolves are right in the mix of the top ten in the Western Conference. In order to take a step up, they’ll have to beat the top teams in the division. One of these teams is the No.2 Golden State Warriors.

Karl-Anthony Towns and the rest of the Timberwolves will have their hands full in this one. The question we’ll look to answer is who’s the best bet on Tuesday?

Game Preview: Golden State Warriors at Minnesota Timberwolves March 1st

The Warriors have one of the best three-point shooting teams in the NBA, shooting 36.20%. They rank fifth in the NBA in that category and will use this shooting to spread the floor against Minnesota.

Ideally, they’ll try to get the Timberwolves out of position in an effort to get Stephen Curry open. Of course, they can always rely on Klay Thompson if the first plan doesn’t work.

Knowing that they’ll try to get their shooters the ball should prepare Minnesota for the game. However, it’s not just Thompson and Curry they’ll need to worry about.

Andrew Wiggins will be returning to Minnesota and can show off exactly what the Timberwolves are missing. For Minnesota, they’ll try to get Karl-Anthony Towns the ball since Draymond Green is sidelined.

Golden State Warriors at Minnesota Timberwolves Betting Prediction

These two teams always have incredibly close games. In fact, over their last ten meetings, the record between them is 5-5. The Warriors have an edge when it comes to covering the spread, though, at 6-4.

The last time these two faced off was in late January, and the Warriors were 6.5-point favorites. They covered the spread and won 124-115, with the total going over 229.5.

The Warriors will likely be favored by around the same amount in this game. On the road, the Warriors have gone 13-13-2 against the spread this season. The last time Minnesota was at home, they beat the Warriors 119-99.

Although we don’t think the Timberwolves will win this game, we think they’ll cover the spread. We recommend taking the Timberwolves as underdogs.

When it comes to the total, there’s one major factor you have to keep in mind. In eight of their last ten meetings, the total has gone over. This gives you a pretty good idea of the trends between these two teams.

In a smaller sample size, in their last three meetings, the total has gone over three times. Needless to say, the best bet is taking the over on Tuesday night.
