NFL Week 12 Recap
The twelfth week of the NFL was full of action along with a few upsets, and some might shock you. Certain games that were considered “locks” ended up falling through the cracks, while others went according to plan.
Let’s take a brief look at some of our favorite games of the week during this NFL Week 12 recap.
Chicago Bears at New York Jets – 31-10 (Jets)
The Chicago Bears were without franchise quarterback Justin Fields this weekend. Unfortunately, this meant they needed to start Trevor Siemian.
Siemian had a rough time on the field, passing for just 179 yards, a touchdown, and an interception. Their defense wasn’t much help either, allowing the Jets to run away with the game in the second half.
It might be time for the rest of the NFL to start taking the New York Jets seriously. By the end of the third quarter, they were up 31-10 on the Chicago Bears.
The team put up a total of 466 yards last week and had 22 first downs. Starting QB Mike White passed for 315 yards and three touchdowns. The Jets will face the Minnesota Vikings this weekend.
Baltimore Ravens at Jacksonville Jaguars – 28-27 (Jaguars)
Our upset of the week is going to the Jacksonville Jaguars, who beat the Baltimore Ravens. This is one of the worst defensive showings we’ve seen from Baltimore this season.
Lamar Jackson didn’t have a bad game, but he was outshined by Trevor Lawrence. The problem was the Ravens’ defense allowed 18 points in the second half.
Trevor Lawrence put his heart into this game, throwing for 321 yards and three touchdowns. They didn’t even need to run the ball often, as their leading rusher only had 28 yards.
They went blow for blow with one of the best teams in the league and didn’t flinch. Even without scoring a single point in the third quarter, they came away with a win.
