NFL Week 14 Recap

The fourteenth week of the NFL has come to a close and was full of action. There were a few games that resulted in shocking upsets. Certain games that were considered “locks” ended up falling through the cracks, while others went according to plan.

Let’s take a look at some of our favorite games of the week during this NFL Week 14 recap.

Las Vegas Raiders vs. Los Angeles Rams – 17-16 (Rams)

The Las Vegas Raiders came in as the favorites against the Los Angeles Rams. However, they were unable to score more than three points after the second half.

Even their star running back, Josh Jacobs, only rushed for 99 yards. Although their defense held up well through the first three quarters, they struggled in the fourth.

The Los Angeles Rams brought in Baker Mayfield to take over as the quarterback. He quickly got a feel for the offense even though he had limited time with the playbook.

By the end of the game, he had passed for 230 yards and a touchdown. After losing six games in a row, the Rams finally earned a win in Week 14.

Minnesota Vikings vs. Detroit Lions – 34-23 (Lions)

The Minnesota Vikings needed one more win to clinch the NFC North and a playoff spot. Unfortunately for them, their defense failed them again, allowing 34 points.

This could spark a few moves in the coaching tree for the Vikings on defense. With such a talented team, it’s unfortunate they couldn’t come away with a win this weekend.

The Detroit Lions, however, now have a record of 6-7 and are 4-4 at home. Scoring 13 points in the fourth quarter helped lead them to a victory over a division rival.

Now their defense did allow Kirk Cousins to pass for 425 yards and two touchdowns. Still, they found a way to win the game, which is what matters in the end.
