Week 15 Recap: Viking’s Comeback of Ages vs Colts

NFL Week 15 Recap

We are seeing many teams getting ready for the playoffs as we head into the final weeks of the NFL regular season. Some teams are starting to take the lead, while others fall into the background.

This next week, there are many games that are up in the air. You never know what will happen heading into each game. Many times, the underdogs can surprise you and come out ahead.

It feels like we’ve said this at least three other times this season, but Week 15 really was the craziest week of the year. Let’s take a look at some of the best games this past week.

Comeback for the Ages (36-39 Vikings)

On Saturday, the Vikings hosted the Colts in what was expected to be a rather boring first game of a nationally televised triple-header. What we got instead was the single biggest comeback in the history of the NFL.

First Half: The Colts were on their way to the biggest beating of the year, leading Minnesota 33-0 at halftime. It was complete dominance by an under-matched team that had everyone wondering if Minnesota would win another game.

Second Half: What happened to Indianapolis? Poor Matt Ryan, the victim of the largest Super Bowl comeback, was now the victim of the largest regular-season comeback. Kirk Cousins threw for more than 400 yards after halftime. Maybe the Vikings will never lose another game.

In the end, the Vikings failed to cover, winning 39-36 in overtime. But it was an incredible win for Minnesota, and hopefully, you took the OVER. The tale of two games resulted in the OVER getting blown out of the water by four touchdowns.
