Will the Commanders’ Defense Show Up?

The Commanders are coming off a disappointing 37-3 loss to the Buffalo Bills in Week 3. In the end, the Commander’s quarterback Sam Howell struggled in the game, throwing four interceptions. The Commanders’ defense was also unable to stop the Bills’ offense, allowing 37 points.

The Eagles are coming off a close 25-11 victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 3. Eagle’s Quarterback Jalen Hurts threw two interceptions in the game, but he also led the Eagles on a game-winning touchdown drive in the fourth quarter. All in all, the Eagles’ defense played well in the game, holding the Buccaneers to just 11 points.

Matchups for the Commanders vs. Eagles

• Sam Howell vs. Jalen Hurts: Howell and Hurts are two of the most talented young quarterbacks in the NFL. However, both players have struggled with consistency this season. Therefore, this matchup could be a turning point for both players.
• Brian Robinson Jr. vs. D’Andre Swift: Robinson and Swift are two of the most promising young running backs in the NFL. Furthermore, this matchup could be a key factor in the outcome of the game. If Robinson can have a big day on the ground, it could open up the passing game for Howell. However, if Swift can limit Robinson’s production, it could also put even more pressure on Howell to make plays.
• Commanders Offensive Line vs. Eagles Pass Rush: The Commander’s offensive line has been struggling this season, and the Eagles pass rush has been one of the best in the NFL. If the Eagles can get pressure on Howell, it could force him into mistakes. However, if the Commanders’ offensive line can give Howell time to throw, he could have a big day against the Eagles secondary.

Eagles Offense The Eagles offense has been one of the most explosive offenses in the NFL so far this season. They are led by Jalen Hurts, who is one of the most talented young quarterbacks in the NFL. The Eagles also have a number of other talented playmakers on offense, including A.J. Brown, DeVonta Smith, and Miles Sanders.

Commanders Defense

The Commanders’ defense has been improved this season, but they are still one of the worst defenses in the NFL. They are allowing over 27 points per game, which is the ninth-most in the league. The Commanders also have a number of injuries on defense, which could make them even more vulnerable against the Eagles offense.

If the Eagles can get Hurts going and establish the running game, it could open up the passing game for Brown and Smith. However, if the Commanders can stop the Eagles’ running game and force Hurts to beat them with his arm, they could keep the Eagle’s offense in check.

This is a tough game to pick, as both teams are evenly matched. However, I think the Eagles have a slight edge because of their home-field advantage and their defense. I predict the Eagles will win a close game, 24-21.
