The Pittsburgh Steelers and Los Angeles Rams will face off in Week 7 of the 2023 NFL season on Sunday, October 22 at 1:05 PM MST at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California.

The Steelers are coming off a bye week in Week 6, while the Rams are coming off a 26-9 win over the Arizona Cardinals.

The Steelers are currently 3-2 on the season and in third place in the AFC North, while the Rams are 3-3 on the season and in second place in the NFC West.

Steelers Offense vs. Rams Defense

The Steelers’ offense is led by quarterback Mitch Trubisky, who is in his first season as the starter. Trubisky has been inconsistent so far this season, but he has shown some flashes of potential.

In Week 5 against the Bills, Trubisky threw for 160 yards and two touchdowns with no interceptions. He also rushed for 41 yards.

Steelers’ Running-Game 

The Steelers also have a talented running game, led by Najee Harris. Harris is a powerful runner who is good at breaking through tackles.

In Week 5 against the Bills, Harris rushed for 62 yards on 20 carries.

The Steelers also have a number of talented wide receivers, including Diontae Johnson, George Pickens, and Chase Claypool. Johnson is a playmaker who can make big plays all over the field. Pickens is a rookie who has shown some flashes of potential. Claypool is a big-play receiver who can stretch the field.

In Week 5 against the Bills, Johnson caught six passes for 64 yards and one touchdown. Pickens caught four passes for 62 yards. Claypool caught three passes for 48 yards.

Steelers’ Offensive Inconsistent

The Steelers’ offensive line has been a bit of a question mark so far this season, but they showed some improvement in Week 5 against the Bills.

The Rams’ defense is led by defensive tackle Aaron Donald, who is one of the best players in the NFL. They also have a talented secondary, led by Jalen Ramsey and Taylor Rapp.

Finally, in Week 6 against the Cardinals, the Rams defense allowed 9 points and 259 total yards. They also forced two turnovers.

Rams Offense vs. Steelers Defense

The Rams offense is led by quarterback Matthew Stafford, who is in his second season with the team. Stafford is one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL, and he is capable of taking over games.

Meanwhile, in Week 6 against the Cardinals, Stafford threw for 238 yards and three touchdowns with no interceptions. In addition, the Rams also have a talented runnin-game, led by Kyren Williams. Williams is a versatile runner who can make plays in the passing game as well.

In Week 6 against the Cardinals, Williams rushed for 102 yards and one touchdown on 17 carries. He also caught four passes for 30 yards.

Rams’ Wide Receivers

Furthermore, the Rams also have a number of talented wide receivers, including Cooper Kupp, Allen Robinson, and Tyler Higbee. Kupp is one of the best receivers in the NFL, and he is capable of taking over games. Additionally, Robinson is a big-play receiver who can stretch the field. Higbee is a versatile tight end who is good at getting open and making plays in the passing game.

In Week 6 against the Cardinals, Kupp caught six passes for 95 yards and one touchdown. Meanwhile, Robinson caught five passes for 88 yards and one touchdown. Higbee caught five passes for 67 yards.

All in all, the Rams’ offensive line has been a bit of a question mark so far this season. Yet, they showed some improvement in Week 6 against the Cardinals.

Steelers’ Defense

In the end, the Steelers’ defense is led by outside linebacker T.J. Watt, who is one of the best defensive players in the NFL. They also have a talented secondary, led by Minkah Fitzpatrick and Terrell Edmunds.

In Week 5 against the Bills, the Steelers defense allowed 38 points and 444 total yards. They also forced one turnover.

Steelers vs. Rams Prediction

All in all, the Rams are the better team on paper, and they should be able to win this game at home. The Steelers are coming off a bye week, but they have been inconsistent so far this season. Meanwhile, the Rams have a more explosive offense and a better defense.

In the end, I predict that the Rams will win this game by a score of 27-17.
