This Sunday, October 29, 2023, at 1:00 PM ET, the Jacksonville Jaguars will take on the Pittsburgh Steelers.  The two teams will face one another at Acrisure Stadium in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. This will be a fun game to watch since both are strong teams.

Jaguars Have Good Start to Season 

The Jacksonville Jaguars are coming off a thrilling 31-24 comeback victory over the New Orleans Saints in Week 7. The Jaguars trailed 24-14 in the fourth quarter before scoring 17 unanswered points to seal the win.

The Jaguars have been one of the biggest surprises in the NFL this season, sitting atop the AFC South at 5-2. They are led by a dynamic offense led by Jacksonville’s quarterback Trevor Lawrence, running back Travis Etienne Jr., and wide receiver Christian Kirk.

Trevor Lawrence Leads 

Lawrence has taken a big step forward in his second season, completing 65.7% of his passes for 1,838 yards, 13 touchdowns, and six interceptions. Etienne Jr. has been a revelation as a rookie, rushing for 525 yards and four touchdowns on 104 carries. Kirk is leading the Jaguars with 49 receptions for 562 yards and five touchdowns.

The Jaguars defense has also been solid this season, led by linebacker Travon Walker and cornerback Tyson Campbell. Walker has 3.5 sacks and 11 tackles for loss, while Campbell has two interceptions.

Steelers Win in Week 7

The Pittsburgh Steelers are also coming off a road win in Week 7, defeating the Los Angeles Rams 24-17. In the end, the Steelers were down 17-10 at halftime before coming back in the second half to win.

The Steelers have been a bit of a roller coaster ride this season, but they have shown flashes of brilliance. They are led by a veteran defense led by linebacker T.J. Watt and safety Minkah Fitzpatrick.

Watt is one of the best defensive players in the NFL, leading the league with 9.5 sacks. Fitzpatrick is also a playmaker, with two interceptions and four forced fumbles this season.

Steeler’s Offense

The Steeler’s offense has been inconsistent this season, but they have some talented players, including quarterback Kenny Pickett, running back Najee Harris, and wide receiver Diontae Johnson.

Pickett is a rookie quarterback, but he has shown some promise in his limited action. He has completed 59.4% of his passes for 593 yards, three touchdowns, and two interceptions. Harris is one of the best running backs in the league, rushing for 559 yards and five touchdowns on 109 carries. Johnson is the Steelers’ leading receiver with 39 receptions for 469 yards and two touchdowns.

This is a matchup of two teams that are coming off-road wins and are looking to build on their momentum. The Jaguars are the slight favorites, but the Steelers have a home-field advantage. All in all, the Jaguars have the better offense, led by Trevor Lawrence.

This is one of the key matchups in this game. Lawrence is a young quarterback with a lot of potential, but he is still learning. Watt is one of the best defensive players in the NFL. If Lawrence can protect the ball and avoid making mistakes, the Jaguars will have a good chance of winning.

Steelers Home-Field Advantage

All in all, the Steelers have one of the best home-field advantages in the NFL. They are 15-3 at Acrisure Stadium since it opened in 2021. Therefore, the Jaguars will need to be prepared for the crowd noise and hostile environment.

Jaguars vs Steelers Prediction 

This is a tough game to predict, but I am going to go with the Jaguars to win. Overall, I predict Trevor Lawrence will have a big game, and the Jaguars will be able to run the ball effectively. Although the Steelers’ defense is good, in the end, I believe the Jaguars will be able to score enough points to win.
