NFL Week 9 Recap

The NFL Week 9 was full of action, along with a few upsets. Certain games that were considered “locks” ended up falling through the cracks, while others went according to plan.

Let’s go over some of our favorite NFL games of the week during this Week 9 recap.

Green Bay Packers vs. Detroit Lions – 15-9 (Lions)

The Green Bay Packers have lost their fifth straight game after Week 9. Aaron Rodgers threw three interceptions in a 15-9 loss to the Detroit Lions.

There are quite a few things wrong in Green Bay right now, and it’ll take a while to fix them. With the way they performed last week, we don’t see them doing well against the Dallas Cowboys.

The Detroit Lions earned just their second win of the year after beating the Packers. It was a good game for the Lions overall, especially after how they’ve performed lately.

Jared Goff passed for 137 yards and two touchdowns last week. Their defense held up at the end as well, which is pretty surprising.

Buffalo Bills vs. New York Jets – 20-17 (Jets)

Perhaps the most impressive upset of the week was the New York Jets beating the Buffalo Bills. It was a close game, but the Bills ended up losing 20-17.

Starting quarterback Josh Allen placed the blame on himself because of two interceptions. However, the Bills’ defense had a tough time as well, so he’s not the sole player responsible. 

The New York Jets played a clean game and forced two turnovers. Perhaps the best thing they did, however, was control the time of possession.

They held the ball for 32:44 while allowing the Bills just 27:16 minutes on the field. Because of this, they were able to come away with a significant win over a division rival.
