NCAA Basketball Look Ahead; Monday, January 3, 2022

College basketball is now in full swing of the conference slate. Most teams played one or two conference games in December, but we will only be seeing conference games from now until the end of the year.

Teams have used the first weeks of the season to get ready for conference play, as now we will see which teams are contenders and which teams have been propped up by an easy non-conference slate.

With 2022 on the horizon, we will see some great conference games in the first week of the year. We highlight Wisconsin Badgers vs Purdue Boilermakers.

Wisconsin Badgers Travel to West Lafayette to Face the Purdue Boilermakers

The Wisconsin Badgers will take on the Purdue Boilermakers to kick off a great week of Big Ten basketball. The Badgers are 10-2 on the year thus far and are ranked as the #24 team in the country.

The Boilermakers are 12-1 on the year and are ranked #3 in the country. Their lone loss was to Rutgers on a half-court buzzer-beater almost three weeks ago.

Wisconsin comes into the game on a two-game win streak and averages 70.3 points a game. They allow just 63.2 points a contest this year. Purdue scores 87.2 points a game and allows 66.0 points per game this season. They shoot over 51 percent from the floor while Wisconsin shoots 40 percent from the floor.

This will be a tight game, but I give the edge to Purdue, who just has more firepower.
