History of Nashville SC 

Nashville FC, also known as Nashville SC, is a professional soccer team based in Nashville, Tennessee. In the beginning, the team was founded in 2017. Finally, it joined MLS in 2020 as an expansion team. Then, it became the 24th team in the league overall.

Before joining MLS, Nashville SC played in the United Soccer League (USL) and achieved great success, winning the USL Eastern Conference Championship. The team did so in 2018 and reached the USL Championship final in 2019.

The team’s success in USL caught the attention of MLS. In 2019, it was announced that Nashville SC would be joining the league as an expansion team. The team played its first MLS game on February 29, 2020. It defeated Atlanta United 2-1.

Despite the challenges of playing during a pandemic, Nashville SC had a successful inaugural season in MLS. Overall, it reached the playoffs and ultimately made it to the Eastern Conference semifinals.
