Here’s an overview of some of the top games in sports being played on June 11. Today, we’re taking a closer look at five games from Major League Baseball and the NHL Playoffs.

Milwaukee Brewers vs. Washington Nationals – 4:05 PM ET

The first game we’re going to take a look at today is the Milwaukee Brewers at the Washington Nationals. The Brewers are 33-27 and rank second in the NL Central, however, they’ve lost seven games in a row. This losing streak is rather surprising for a team that has played as well as the Brewers. On the mound tonight is the 5-1 Eric Lauer, which gives us a little faith.

The Washington Nationals already won the first game of this series 11-5. The question is, can they put together a similar performance tonight? Patrick Corbin, who has a 2-8 record as a starter, is on the mound for the Brewers. With an ERA of 6.71 this season, the Nationals are in a bit of trouble with Corbin. We think the Brewers will break the losing streak tonight at -160.

Los Angeles Dodgers vs. San Francisco Giants – 7:15 PM ET

Now, we’ll jump forward in the day to see the Dodgers face the Giants. Los Angeles, with a record of 37-21 this season, lost to the Giants yesterday, 7-2. Down 1-0 in the series, the Dodgers will send out one of their best pitchers, Clayton Kershaw. Kershaw has a 4-0 record as a starter with an impressive 1.80 ERA. The Dodgers come in as -160 favorites in this one.

San Francisco’s batters will have their work cut out for them tonight. Facing the undefeated Kershaw isn’t an easy task. However, the batters for San Francisco are quite good, with a batting average of .243. Sam Long will get the start as the pitcher for the Giants tonight. Long has an 0-1 record with an ERA of 2.35. Still, with Kershaw on the mound, we’ll take LA -160.

Chicago Cubs vs. New York Yankees – 7:15 PM ET

The Chicago Cubs have lost four of their last five games, including yesterday’s game against the Yankees. Yesterday’s game went 13 innings, with the Yankees pulling it off with a 2-1 victory. Leading the cubs tonight is Matt Swarmer, who has a 1-0 record as a starter with a 1.50 ERA. Swarmer has pitched just 12 innings this season, so keep that in mind.

The Yankees, with a record of 42-16, lead the AL East. Through their last five games, the Yankees have won four of them. Most of these wins could be attributed to remarkable pitching. Still, you can’t deny that the Yankees have some of the best batting as well. On the mound tonight is the 1-1 Jordan Montgomery. We’ll go with the Yankees tonight -255.

New York Rangers vs. Tampa Bay Lightning – 8:00 PM ET

The New York Rangers are facing elimination as they head into tonight’s game. The series is currently 3-2 and the Rangers are on the road tonight. In the series, the Rangers have lost the last three games in a row. They’ve been unable to slow the offense of the Lightning, who has averaged 2.8 goals this series.

The Lightning is in a prime position to eliminate the Rangers and move on. They lead the series 3-2 and are playing at home instead of on the road. Although Brayden Point is still listed as day-to-day, the Lightning has done just fine this series. Their defense has been impressive over the last three games, allowing just 1.3 goals per game. We’ll take the Lightning -200 tonight.

New York Mets vs. Los Angeles Angels – 10:07 PM ET

You might need to stay up a bit late to catch this one, but it’ll be worth it. The Mets, first in the NL East with a record of 39-21, face the 28-32 Los Angeles Angels. The Mets handily beat the Angels in Game 1 of this series 7-3. Tonight, they’ll send the 7-1 Carlos Carrasco to secure a Game 2 victory. Carrasco has an ERA of 3.52 over the course of 64 innings.

The Los Angeles Angels were able to break their losing streak against Boston. However, they fell right back into the same slump when they faced the Mets. To be fair, the Mets are one of the best teams in MLB, so it makes sense. Tonight, they’ll hope that the 5-3 Michael Lorenzen can keep them in the game. Still, we don’t see the Angels pulling this one off tonight, Mets -135.
