It’s another great day for baseball betting! Here, we’re taking a look and betting on the top five games on Wednesday’s schedule.

Baltimore Orioles vs. Toronto Blue Jays – 3:07 PM ET

The day kicks off with an AL East matchup between two tough teams. With a record of 61-55, the Baltimore Orioles rank fourth in the division. Their opponent, the Toronto Blue Jays, have a 61-54 record and rank third in the division. On the mound for the Orioles tonight is Austin Voth, who is 3-1 with an ERA of 5.34.

The Toronto Blue Jays have lost three straight games, two of which to the Baltimore Orioles. The good news is they have a strong starting pitcher on the mound tonight. Getting the start is Ross Stripling, whose 5-3 record and 3.16 ERA are far better than Voth’s. Between these two teams, we’ll take the Blue Jays at home -170.

San Diego Padres vs. Miami Marlins – 4:10 PM ET

After two straight losses, the San Diego Padres have fallen to a 65-54 record. Tonight, they face the Miami Marlins again, who they lost to last night. The 4-4 Mike Clevinger is expected to take the mound for the Padres today. Clevinger has an ERA of 3.47 and has thrown 65 strikeouts in 70 innings pitched. The Padres also have a slight advantage at the plate this season.

The Miami Marlins have beaten the Padres twice now, boosting their morale. Taking the mound for them tonight is the 7-7 Pablo Lopez. Lopez has an ERA of 3.55 this season, similar to Clevinger. The Marlins are still underdogs in this game because of their .235 batting average. We’ll take the Padres to win the final game of the series -155.

Boston Red Sox vs. Pittsburgh Pirates – 7:05 PM ET

The Boston Red Sox seemed to have worked their way out of a rough patch. Over their last five games, they’ve won four, increasing their record to 58-59. Nearing the .500 mark, the Red Sox will face the Pittsburgh Pirates again tonight. Boston beat them last night 5-3 and will send out Rich Hill to secure another win. Hill has a record of 4-5 this season with an ERA of 4.75.

The Pirates won’t go down easy, especially with Roansy Contreras on the mound. Contreras has a record of 3-2 with a 3.78 ERA this season. The big difference here is the advantage that Boston has at the plate. This season, the Red Sox are batting .252 compared to the Pirates’ .220. We’ll take the Red Sox -155 in tonight’s game.

New York Mets vs. Atlanta Braves – 7:20 PM ET

The New York Mets lead the NL East with a 75-42 record. Unfortunately for them, this record hasn’t meant much in their series against the Atlanta Braves. They’ve lost two straight games to the Braves, including an embarrassing 13-1 loss. In order to stop the Braves from bulldozing them again, they’re starting Max Scherzer.

Scherzer has a record of 8-2 this season with an ERA of 1.93. You could argue that he’s the best pitcher in the league right now. However, the Braves have done well against great pitchers too. Last night they faced Carlos Carrasco and had no problems there either. With a .252 team batting average, it’s not hard to see why they’ve been winning. We’ll take the Braves +135.

Colorado Rockies vs. St. Louis Cardinals – 7:45 PM ET

The last game we’ll look at is between the Colorado Rockies and St. Louis Cardinals. The Rockies, with a record of 51-67, rank fifth in the NL West. They’ve lost three games in a row, including last night’s 5-4 loss to the Cardinals. The 6-9 German Marquez will get the start on the mound today with an ERA of 5.08.

One thing the Rockies do well is hit, they have a .263 batting average as a team this season. However, the Cardinals have great pitching and strong batting as well. Jordan Montgomery, who is 5-3 with an ERA of 3.37, is getting the start tonight for the Cardinals. With Montgomery on the mound, we have to take the Cardinals at home -205.
