It’s another great day for baseball betting! Here, we’re taking a look and betting on the top five games on Friday’s schedule.

Philadelphia Phillies vs. Miami Marlins – 6:40 PM ET

The Philadelphia Phillies have a record of 46-43 this season even after losing four in a row. Tonight, they’ll begin their series against the Miami Marlins, a team that is 43-45 this season. For the Phillies to get a win tonight, pitching will have to be up to par. On the mound tonight is Kyle Gibson, who is 4-3 with a 4.53 ERA this season.

The Miami Marlins will send out the 9-3 Sandy Alcantara, who has a 1.73 ERA. It’s clear based on the starting pitchers that the Marlins have the edge here. At the plate, the Miami Marlins have a slightly worse batting average at .240. Still, with Alcantara on the mound the Marlins have the best chance of winning tonight.

Atlanta Braves vs. Washington Nationals – 7:05 PM ET

The Atlanta Braves are second in the NL East with a record of 54-37. Yesterday, the Braves claimed a 5-4 win over the Washington Nationals in a pretty close game. Ian Anderson will take the mound for the Braves today, Anderson has an ERA of 4.98. The Braves have done well at the plate this season too, with a batting average of .248.

The Washington Nationals suffered a narrow loss yesterday, marking seven straight losses. In order to break this losing streak, they’ll need to do much better at closing games. Unfortunately, Patrick Corbin will get the start for them today. Corbin has a record of 4-11 this season with a 5.70 ERA. The Braves at -215 are the best team to bet on in this one.

Seattle Mariners vs. Texas Rangers – 8:05 PM ET

With a record of 48-42 and a 24-22 record on the road, the Seattle Mariners are the favorites to win. After yesterday’s 6-5 win over the Texas Rangers, they’re looking for their second one. The biggest problem for the Mariners is at the plate, where they have a .235 batting average. This could become a problem as they face the Rangers tonight.

Texas has a record of 21-23 at home with an overall record of 41-46. They’ve lost three of their last five games, including yesterday’s loss to the Mariners. On the mound tonight is Matt Bush, who is 2-1 as a starter this season. With a 3.64 ERA we think the Rangers could pull off an upset tonight. Because of this, we’ll take the underdogs at +158.

Cincinnati Reds vs. St. Louis Cardinals – 8:15 PM ET

The Cincinnati Reds have won four of their last five games this season. Yesterday they stole a 7-6 win in the 10th inning over the New York Yankees. If they’re able to take down New York, they should be able to win this one as well. The problem is who they have starting at pitcher, Hunter Greene. Greene is 3-10 as a starter with a 5.70 ERA this season.

The St. Louis Cardinals are 48-44 this season and are starting Andre Pallante. Pallante has a record of 2-4 this season but a much better ERA than Greene at 3.18. The advantage easily goes to the Cardinals in this situation and at the plate. As a team, the St. Louis Cardinals have a batting average of .250. We’ll go with St. Louis at -170 to win this one.

Pittsburgh Pirates vs. Colorado Rockies – 8:40 PM ET

The Pittsburgh Pirates have lost two of their last five games en route to playing the Colorado Rockies. Prior to that, the Pirates had a four-game winning streak going. On the mound today is Jose Quintana, one of the better pitchers for the Pirates. Quintana has a record of 2-4 as a starter with a 3.59 ERA this season.

The main concern for the Pirates is how well will Quintana do against the Rockies batters? As a team, the Colorado Rockies are batting .260. With one of the best team averages in the league, it’ll be hard for the Pirates to best them. German Marquez, who is 5-7 this season, will take the mound for the Rockies tonight. We expect Marquez and the Rockies to win this one.
