It’s another great day for baseball betting! Here, we’re taking a look and betting on the top five games on Saturday’s schedule.

Cincinnati Reds vs. St. Louis Cardinals – 2:15 PM ET

The Cincinnati Reds were beaten 7-3 yesterday by the St. Louis Cardinals. Down 0-1 in the series, the Reds’ record has fallen to 34-56. Of their last five games, the Reds have won three and Nick Lodolo will get the start tonight. Lodolo has a record of 2-2 this season with an ERA of 4.44 over the course of 24.1 innings.

The St. Louis Cardinals will send out Miles Mikolas, who has an impressive 2.62 ERA. Mikolas’ record of 6-7 might not be great, but he has a much better ERA than Lodolo. It also helps that as a team the Cardinals have a batting average of .250. With one of the best averages in the league, we’ll take the Cardinals -170 this afternoon.

Pittsburgh Pirates vs. Colorado Rockies – 3:10 PM ET

The Pittsburgh Pirates are on a three-game losing streak after yesterday’s loss. With a record of 38-53, things aren’t looking very good for the Pirates at the moment. One of their biggest problems is at the plate, where they have a .220 team batting average. Going against the Rockies with such poor batting is a recipe for disaster.

The Rockies are 42-49 this season but have won four of their last five games. Jose Urena, 0-1, will get the start tonight and boasts a 2.66 ERA this season. What the Rockies do best, however, is earn hits. As a team, the Colorado Rockies have a .262 batting average, one of the best in MLB. Look for the Rockies to earn another win at home tonight at -130.

Atlanta Braves vs. Washington Nationals – 4:05 PM ET

With a 55-37 record, the Atlanta Braves rank second in the AL East. Tonight, they continue their series against the Washington Nationals. At the moment, the Braves lead the series 2-0 with only two games left. On the mound for the Braves tonight is Max Fried, who is 9-3 as a starter with an ERA of 2.56.

Taking the mound for the Washington Nationals is Paolo Espino, who has yet to earn a win this season. Espino has an ERA of 3.42 with a record of 0-2 over the course of 52.2 innings. The Braves clearly have the pitching advantage in this one. Both of these teams boast .249 team batting averages. Still, the best team to pick in this one is the Braves -250.

Boston Red Sox vs. New York Yankees – 7:15 PM ET

This rivalry is continuing to get more intense after the Red Sox win yesterday. Boston beat the Yankees 5-4 in a game that went all the way to the 11th inning. Tonight, the Red Sox will start Nick Pivetta against the Yankees batters. Pivetta has a record of 8-6 this season with an ERA of 4.08. His ERA might not be good enough against the Yankees batters.

The Yankees will send out one of their best pitchers as well, Jameson Taillon. Taillon has a record of 9-2 this season with an ERA of 4.01. With a similar record to Pivetta, Taillon could be in trouble as well. The Red Sox have one of the best team batting averages in Major League Baseball (.258). We’ll take the underdog in this one with the Red Sox at +140.

Arizona Diamondbacks vs. San Diego Padres – 8:40 PM ET

The Arizona Diamondbacks have lost four of their last five games this season. Their most recent loss was yesterday’s 5-3 loss to the Padres. The 0-3 Tyler Gilbert will get the start on the mound for the Diamondbacks today. Gilbert has an ERA of 5.33 over the course of 25.1 innings. Against the Padres batters, the Diamondbacks are in for a rough game with Gilbert starting.

The San Diego Padres are 51-41 ranking second in the NL West. Although they have a great record, recent games haven’t gone over well. The Padres have lost three of their last five games and lost three straight before beating Arizona. Sean Manaea will get the nod to take the mound today. This one is pretty clear cut, we’ll take the Padres -195 tonight.
