It’s another great day for baseball betting! Here, we’re taking a look and betting on the top five games on Monday’s schedule.

Miami Marlins vs. Cincinnati Reds – 6:40 PM ET

The Miami Marlins and Cincinnati Reds is the first game we’re going to look at today. The Marlins, with a record of 45-50 are coming off a 6-5 win over the Pittsburgh Pirates. Tonight, they’ll send out the 4-9 Trevor Rogers to start tonight’s game on the mound. Rogers has an ERA of 5.46, which is bad but not as bad as the Reds starter.

The starting pitcher for the Reds tonight is the 2-3 Nick Lodolo. Lodolo has an ERA of 5.81 over the span of just 26.1 innings. He has thrown an impressive 38 strikeouts in that time, so keep that in mind. The batting battle goes to the Reds in this one with a team batting average of .239. Even with the advantage at the plate, we’ll take the Marlins +110 here.

Atlanta Braves vs. Philadelphia Phillies – 7:05 PM ET

The Atlanta Braves have won three of their last five games, bringing their record to 58-39. With a 25-18 record on the road, the Braves come into this game as -178 favorites. Getting the start tonight is the 10-3 Max Fried, who has an ERA of 2.64. With Fried on the mound, the Braves are definitely in better shape to win this one.

The starter for the Braves today is Ranger Suarez, who is 7-5 with a 4.07 ERA. Suarez has played pretty well but he doesn’t quite match up to Fried. The Atlanta Braves also have the advantage at the plate with a team batting average of .248. Between these two, the Braves are the much better pick at -178.

Pittsburgh Pirates vs. Chicago Cubs – 8:05 PM ET

The Pittsburgh Pirates are coming off of a tough 6-5 loss to the Marlins. Over their last five games, the Pirates have only been able to win two of them. With a record of 40-56, the Pirates are third in the NL Central and desperately need a win. Tonight, they’ll face the Chicago Cubs and will have the 2-8 JT Brubaker on the mound.

Chicago has won four games in a row, including one win over the New York Mets. Beating the Mets takes a lot of talent, something the Cubs definitely have. Although their 38-57 record might not show it, this team is heating up. Taking the mound for them today is Adrian Sampson, who is 0-1 with a 3.34 ERA. We have to go with the Cubs at -155 to win this one.

Houston Astros vs. Oakland Athletics – 9:40 PM ET

The Houston Astros have a record of 64-32 this season. As the best team in the AL West, the Astros will now face the last place team, the Oakland Athletics. Houston is currently on a five-game winning streak and doesn’t plan to slow down. Tasked with stopping the Athletics batters is the 4-2 Jake Odorizzi, who shouldn’t have much trouble.

As a team, the Athletics are batting .213 one of the worst in the league. Pairing that with the fact that they’re starting Adam Oller and you have a recipe for an Astros win. Oller is 0-3 as a starter with an ERA of 8.56. The Athletics also just took an 11-8 loss from the Texas Rangers yesterday. This one’s pretty clear for us, we’ll take Houston -235.

Texas Rangers vs. Seattle Mariners – 10:10 PM ET

The Texas Rangers find themselves as +130 underdogs in this game. They’ll face the 51-45 Seattle Mariners, who rank second in the AL West. The Rangers, however, rank third with a record of 43-51. After winning only two of their last five games, the Rangers will look to add another win. With the 4-6 Glenn Otto, however, they could have a tough time with that.

Otto has an ERA of 5.40 over the span of 61.2 innings. The Mariners are starting Chris Flexen, who is 6-8 with an ERA of 3.79. The Rangers, however, have a better batting average as a team than Seattle at .240. They’re also coming off a pretty impressive win over the Athletics. It’s a risky pick but we’ll take the Rangers at +130.
