It’s another great day for baseball betting! Here, we’re taking a look and betting on the top five games on Thursday’s schedule.

Atlanta Braves vs. Philadelphia Phillies – 6:05 PM ET

At the moment, the Braves are up 2-0 in their series against the Philadelphia Phillies. Yesterday’s game resulted in a 4-1 victory for the Braves, bringing their record to 44-32. Tonight, Ian Anderson will take the mound for the Braves. Anderson has a record of 6-4 with an ERA of 4.60. However, his poor ERA might not be too much trouble for them to overcome.

The Philadelphia Phillies will send out the 4-5 Aaron Nola. Interestingly enough, Nola actually has a better ERA than Anderson, even though he has fewer wins. With an ERA of 2.98, the pitching advantage goes to the Phillies. However, they’re still missing their best batter, Bryce Harper. Because of this, we’ll take the Atlanta Braves on the road tonight at +135.

Milwaukee Brewers vs. Pittsburgh Pirates – 7:05 PM ET

The Milwaukee Brewers, 44-33 this season, rank as the number one team in the NL Central. Today, they begin their series against another team from the same division, the Pittsburgh Pirates. The Brewers have won four games in a row, this includes a two-game series sweep over the Tampa Bay Rays. The 4-8 Adrian Houser will get the nod to start tonight’s game.

On the opposite side, we’ll see if J.T. Brubaker can get his second win of the season. At the moment, Brubaker is 1-7 with an ERA of 4.14. The Pirates have had a rough past five games, winning only one of them. With Brubaker on the mound, it’s unlikely they’ll beat the Brewers tonight. We’ll go with the road team again here, Brewers -130.

Cincinnati Reds vs. Chicago Cubs – 8:05 PM ET

The Cincinnati Reds are trying to pull themselves out of a 26-48 hole. To do so, they’ll need to string together wins, something they’ve struggled with lately. Yesterday, the Reds suffered an 8-3 loss to the Chicago Cubs. Today, they’ll send out Graham Ashcraft, one of their best pitchers. Ashcraft has a record of 4-1 this season with a 3.27 ERA.

Although the Cubs won big yesterday, we can’t forget that they lost Game 1. Heading to the mound today is Kyle Hendricks, who is 3-6 as a starter with a 4.90 ERA. Hendricks has struggled this season, throwing 55 strikeouts in 75.1 innings. Still, the Cubs’ bats should be enough to win this one. We’ll take the home team at -125 here.

Oakland Athletics vs. Seattle Mariners – 10:10 PM ET

This game might be a later one, but it’s definitely still worth betting on. After losing three straight games to the New York Yankees, the Athletics prepare for the Mariners. Having to travel from New York to Seattle isn’t an easy task, so expect to see a sluggish Athletics team. On the mound tonight is Adrian Martinez, whose work is cut out for him.

The Seattle Mariners are 36-41 this season, but don’t let the under .500 record fool you. The Mariners are coming off of a 9-3 win over the Baltimore Orioles and are fourth in the AL West. They’ll also be starting arguably their best pitcher in Logan Gilbert. Gilbert has an 8-3 record this season with a 2.44 ERA. We think a clear choice here is the Mariners at -235.

San Diego Padres vs. Los Angeles Dodgers – 10:10 PM ET

Another late game that you should be watching is the Padres versus the Dodgers. The Padres have lost three of their last five games and now they face one of the best in MLB. The good news is they’ll have their best pitcher, Joe Musgrove, on the mound. Musgrove is 8-1 this season with an ERA of 2.12, he’ll need to be at his best against the Dodgers.

The Los Angeles Dodgers are still dealing with quite a few injuries. These injuries could prevent them from being at their best tonight. Over their last five games, the Dodgers have lost three of them, similar to the Padres. Although they’re coming off of a win, we still think the Padres will pull this one out. We’ll take San Diego on the road +105 tonight.
